SHOPPING & DINING The City of Parksville offer unique shopping experiences, from the roadside market famous for the goats on the roof to the high-end boutiques in the city center. Local artists sell their wares in the many local galleries. Local farmers markets sell award winning cheeses, with some offering lessons in making cheese, for those who prefer to be more hands-on. The area is also renowned for its locally made fruit wines and seafood that are highlighted in the areas many dining options. FESTIVALS & EVENTS You will find something fun to do at every time of year in the City of Parksville, the Brant Wildlife spring festival celebrates the annual migration and return of thousands of Brant geese to the area. The month long summer beach festival is highlighted by the Canada Day fireworks and the Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition featuring some of the most amazing sand creations ever made. The mild winters make the Christmas Bethlehem walk an amazing event for all.
